Patient stories

Real stories, published only with consent

Verified patient stories will be published only with written consent and after identifying information has been reviewed. Until then, this page shows how a coordinated journey works — as a clearly-labelled fictional example.

Fictional sample journey — for illustration only

This is not a real patient case. It shows the structure of a coordinated Tonicvia journey.

1

Week 1 — Discovery call and case file

A U.S. family exploring knee replacement for a parent books a free call. Tonicvia explains the process and fees, then builds the document checklist. No medical records are shared yet.

2

Weeks 2–3 — Hospital proposals

After signed consent, records go to three hospitals the family approved. Two respond with case-specific estimates; one requests an additional scan first. Every response is logged with its date and source.

3

Week 4 — Comparison report and walkthrough

The family receives the structured comparison — proposals, estimate inclusions and exclusions, cost-risk flags, travel feasibility and open questions — plus a walkthrough call. Tonicvia does not recommend a hospital.

4

Weeks 5–8 — Decision and travel

The family discusses the report with their U.S. physician, chooses a hospital, and books travel. Tonicvia coordinates visa documents, airport transfer, accommodation and admission-day support.

5

Discharge and return

Before departure, Tonicvia works through the discharge checklist: operative note, implant details, medication list, rehabilitation plan and follow-up dates — organized into a handover pack for the U.S. physician.

6

30 and 90 days home

Coordination check-ins confirm follow-up appointments happened and documents reached the home clinician. The case file closes with the final invoice recorded against the original estimate.

First-patient charter

When real patient stories are published, every one of them will follow these rules.

  • Stories are published only with written, revocable consent
  • The scope of what is shared is agreed with the patient in advance
  • Identifying information is reviewed before anything is published
  • The patient approves the final edit before publication
  • Any compensation for a story will be disclosed
  • A story can be withdrawn at any time on request

Tonicvia does not publish fabricated testimonials, invented ratings, or unverified outcome claims. Medical outcomes vary by patient and are determined by licensed clinicians — never guaranteed by Tonicvia.
